Rodgers and Hammerstein's Broadway musical Oklahoma! uses song and dance to convey plot and the characters in addition to the dialog. Set in a Western Indian territory just after the turn of the century, Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. With these two headstrong romantics holding the reins, their love's journey is as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country lane! Of course all ends well as the two lovers succeed in making a new life together in the brand-new state of Oklahoma!
