Swanhurst Chorus presents a Dinner Theatre production of Carousel by Rodgers & Hammerstein - A favorite musical for all ages starring the swaggering, carefree carnival barker, Billy Bigelow who falls in love with the sweet innocent Julie Jordan. Songs include "If I Loved You " and "You’ll Never Walk Alone". Admission to each production includes a full lunch or dinner and a cash bar is available.

Swanhurst Chorus holds the distinction of being Rhode Island’s longest continually performing choral ensemble, having just celebrated its 87th season. The Chorus ranks among the oldest organizations of its kind in New England and the country.
Some gems from Swanhurst’s history include, among others,
Puccini’s Messa di Gloria,
J.S. Bach’s Magnificat and Johannespassion,
The Mozart Requiem,
Horatio Parker’s Hora Novissima,
antiphonal works of the Gabrielli’s and Monteverdi, and
Copland’s Canticle of Freedom.
The Swanhurst Chorus Theater has also successfully offered 18 full scale Broadway productions in a Dinner Theater format - - these shows have become a fixture in the March calendar for Newport County with sell-outs every year.
